ADIABATIC
COOLING
Eco Kool
Adiabatic Cooling Systems utilize the high efficiency nozzles
that proportionally emit a 3 to 20 micron drop size fog. This
fog is controlled to 100% evaporate into the ambient air of the
application. As the fog evaporates into the air stream as vapor,
sensible cooling of the air stream occurs.
This thermodynamic process is known as
"Adiabatic Cooling" along a process line of constant
enthalpy (since no heat is added or removed from the air
stream). This evaporation can be applied so as to convert the
sensible heat to latent heat with no change in the total heat of
the air mixture. The sensible or dry bulb temperature of the air
is reduced since the evaporating water absorbs energy in
changing from a liquid to a gas. This change increases the
moisture content of the air, therefore, increasing the percent
saturation.
Evaporative cooling is an energy
effective means of providing comfort cooling and humidification.
The benefits of evaporative cooling are very attractive compared
to the high cost of mechanical cooling. Large plant areas with
unusual heat loads make evaporative cooling attractive as an
economical solution to a potentially expensive problem.
Reference ASHRAE chapter 46 of the 1991
handbook - HVAC Application for sample calculations covering
energy savings using evaporative cooling. One gallon of water
that is evaporated every hour equals approximately 9,000 BTU's
of Adiabatic Cooling!

Eco
Kool Invented by Inventor and Entrepreneur Michael E. Nelson, in
Las Vegas, Nevada during the Summer of 2003. Eco Kool has
been consistently updated and upgraded with various improvements
and further proprietary intellectual property with patent
possibilities being added to the product(s) every few
months. Eco
Kool hopes to test market it's first generation of product during
the Summer of 2004, in Las Vegas Nevada and Southern California
(Orange, San Diego and San Bernardino Counties). Eco Kool
intends to establish a MSRP of not more than:
